Born on February 19, 1902, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Kay Boyle has been known for her work and achievements as a poet, short story writer, novelist, journalist, teacher, and political activist. One of the most prominent American expatriates during the 1920s and 1930s, much of Kay Boyle’s work reflects the influences of that literary circle.

Marie Jucht Kaufman papers

Marie Jucht Kaufman (1930-1994) documented her survival of the Holocaust through letters written to her son, American writer and artist Alan Kaufman, between 1993 and 1994. The collection also includes photographs of the Jucht family during and after World War II, as well as photocopies of Marie Kaufman's naturalization documents from France, Venezuela, and the United States.

The papers of George Adolphus Storey, R.A., prolific British painter and longtime teacher of perspective at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, include both published and unpublished books, poems, plays, fiction, essays, lectures, notes, sketches, inventories, diaries, and other personal writings. Also included are several items belonging to his daughter, Mary Gladys Storey, an actress well-known for her charitable work during World Wars I and II.
